  2. missions in 1975. It will be launched from NASA~s Kennedy
  3. Space Center between September 16 and October 13 aboard a
  4. Titan III rocket and a Transfer Orbit Stage (TOS). Mars
  5. Observer will travel 720 million kilometers (450 million
  6. miles) in 11 months to its late-summer 1993 insertion into
  7. Martian orbit. From its nearly circular polar orbit around
  8. the planet, the three-axis stabilized spacecraft will
  9. conduct a comprehensive study of the Martian geosphere over
